Goals

TI Latvia - Delna is a non-governmental organisation whose goal is to promote democracy, encourage freedom of information and fight corruption.

 

TI Latvia’s mission
To promote an open, just and democratic society, intolerant to corruption in politics, in business and in interpersonal relations.

 

TI Latvia’s  tasks:

- To bring democratic principles to life so as to engage the public in the fight against corruption.

- To ensure the transparency and accessibility of information from national and local public and  private institutions.

- To analyse the factors that cause and encourage corruption, then to develop and implement measures to reduce corruption, including legislative reforms.

- To promote fruitful cooperation between non-governmental organizations and national and local agencies.


Delna bases its work on Transparency International’s National Integrity System and strives to encompass the following 12 institutional pillars:
